Back to School )-:

School started this week, and two out of three kids hit the road.
I was sad to see them go...for the most part we had a GREAT summer, and sending them back to school just reminds me that they are getting one year closer to adulthood.
To be honest, my stepson will be an official adult before
the end of the year when he celebrates his 18th birthday.
He is loving his new found freedoms this year because he gets to go to college in the afternoon. The first day was a bit of a debacle, but on the second day he proclaimed this freedom overwhelming with a grin on his face. He is loving it so far, hopefully he will continue to love it.

Michael started 7th grade this year and turned 13 years old. Unimaginable!
My mom always stops in on the first day of school to wish Michael a great day...

Allyson wishing her brother well on his first day back.
Summer seemed to flash by so quickly this year.
My house is always filled with kids, mine and others throughout the summer so things are always busy and loud.
It was so quiet and peaceful when Ally and I came back in,
we just aren't used to that...it feels empty.

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. What fun back-to-school pics. My mom took a picture of me every first-day-of-school until my senior year. She even took some first-day-at-work pics! Thanks and I hope to hear from you again!
